designing a better world

How might civilization be driven by cooperation rather than competition? How might all the people of the world unite in pursuit of human progress, discovery, and exploration instead of hazardous, useless work that only serves the already wealthy? This community-led, co-creative thought experiment visualizes new possibilities as we seek to avoid a return to the status quo.

As activists, community organizers, revolutionaries, and designers, we seek to build and secure new systems to liberate everyone from oppression and create something positive to replace all that is not working today.

An ideal world need not remain a dream. Inspired by conversations with dreamers, workers, rebels, and thinkers, the Design Activist Institute assembled guides through which we can all start building a better world by coming together. Collectively, this strategy may propel us forward into radical, progressive mass movements.
